Every journey begins with a first step.
The journey to financial success is no different.

Take These Five Steps To Financial Freedom

There is an old saying that goes something like this: "If you continue to do what you've always done, you will continue to get what you've always got."  The Global Village Workshops program is designed to give the average guy and gal the tools they need to successfully manage their money and build financial security even in a tough economy.  Easy to understand and fun to read, the training is brief and to the point so that virtually anyone can pay off debt and make decisions that lead to success.  The workshop is broken into five steps, each one presented in a way that takes you closer to financial freedom and security.  Here is a brief outline of each of the five steps listed in the order you will see them in your workshop manual.

The Budgeting Process

There is an old saying that goes something like this: "If you continue to do what you've always done, you'll continue to get what you've always got."  This introduction lays out the basic steps of the entire budget process so that from the very start you know what to expect and understand what the steps are to successfully complete the task of managing your own money.  At the end of the day it is up to you to make good things happen; despite all the promises, no one else can do that for you. This workshop will make certain that you have the tools and the knowledge to do it.

Step One - Getting Organized
An important part of the process of managing your money is having a place where you can store important papers and work comfortably for a couple of hours a month.  After all you can't balance your checkbook if you can't find it.  While it is recognized that no two people are going to organize in the same way or to the same degree this first step does try to suggest tips on setting up your workspace, organizing a filing system, and do all this without spending much, if any, money.  It's a great way to start off the discussion.

Step Two - Understanding Your Situation

Knowing how to accurately see where you are right now is very important to any successful financial management program.  Here you will use some very simple worksheets to determine your present net worth and see what kind of adjustments need to be made to get where you want to go.  You will be able to identify what resources you already have to make the needed adjustments, and learn simple skills to pay off your debt and organize your spending.

Step Three - Setting Goals

I don't think I've ever known anyone who was about to start a journey who didn't have a clue where they were going, have you?  How many NFL quarterbacks have become famous and successful by throwing the football downfield willy-nilly without targeting the receiver?  Yet an overwhelming number of people do that very thing with their hard-earned paychecks every day of their lives.  In this step you will see how to set some short term and some long term goals for yourself and for your household so that you have a clear target for your financial future.

Step Four - Creating Your Budget

Would you try to build a house without a plan - a blueprint?  Reaching your financial goals and realizing your dreams is no different, you need a plan - a budget.  You are going to learn some very simple techniques that make the whole budgeting process easy to understand and simple to work.  You will also learn to monitor your progress so that once you put your plan to use you can make appropriate adjustments to your budget as your situation changes and improves.

Step Five - Making Your Budget Work

Having a budget is always a great idea, but if you don't know how to actually make it work you still have a problem.  Remember, money is simply a tool, a tool you must use correctly in order to build a brighter, more secure future for yourself and your family.  You will be introduced to shopping tips and ideas that can actually help your new budget work, and do it without you having to give up or change your lifestyle.  This step includes a guide to talking with creditors to negotiate lower payments, smaller balances, and to put a stop to embarrassing phone calls.

This is a proven program that works!
